The installer cannot ping the domain.Verify that Informatica Services is running on the domain host and select Retry.

You will get this Error Message when you install Informatica 8.6.1 on Windows 7
To Resolve this Issue Follow Below Steps
add Power center server path in Environment variables.
select Computer ,Right click => properties
Go to Advanced Tab
Click on Environment variables
Under System Variables select "Path" for edit
add the path of the Power center server (ex: c:\Informa......../server/bin. ensure to add a semicolon to separate the existing string with this.
Now try to start Informatica service
continue with Administration console
